Little Dog Found

Last night the puppy slipped out. TC normally stays in the yard and Boudain does not follow him if he leaves. Last night was different. All of a sudden TC is at the door without the pup. I wonder if TC did it on purpose? From what it seems Boudain spent the night on the cul-de-sac. He was just let in this afternoon. I am very grateful to that lovely block for watching. I cannot let them out anymore. I should have learned my lesson when TC got picked up on Liberty one Sunday. I am going to stop being so lazy and take them for walks when I get home now. TC cannot be trusted to take care of him.

Boudain is dead tired sprawled on the Blankey.

How the "rescue" happened makes me believe my prayer worked. On the way home I hoped upon hope he'd be on my porch waiting for me. He was not. I got TC, and took him out on the leash. First I stopped at the house across the street with the 2 dogs. No on e answered. I went around the corner and walked down Lindy Lane. I asked one young dad if he saw him. He had not. I passed some other people, and I just decided to go to the end of the cul-de-sac - Lindy CT. I saw 3 people and asked if they'd seen a puppy. First they said no, then one of the ladies asked what kind. I told her a dachshund, and she said she thought she saw a "Datsun" across the street, and they did not have a dog. I knocked on the door, and a man answered. I told them I was looking for a puppy. He said Yea, and Boudain came barreling out and licking my face. I am going to buy them a speedway gift card.

I think God encouraged me to go down the court. It did not occur to me earlier. It was pretty amazing how it all played out. I made a promise to keep them on leashes from now on. Not just smart, but the law.

How many suicide victims do you know?

Got a message that someone I vacationed with, a partner of a friend of mine, killed himself Thursday.
I can think of 5 people in my life that have done it, but am pretty surethough, the number is 6. That just seems like a big number to me. Did I forget number 6 (5)? the reason I am pretty sure its 6 is in Grad school I rattled off my list to dave, and it was 5 and he freaked out. Did I forget someone? I tend to feel sorrow for the victim, with a touch of anger, because I know the victims that continue the pain, are the living. who did I lose? One was a classmate, and I remember him. I am forgetting names, but I forget the names of the living.

Halloween

I skipped Thanksgiving today. I woke up started baking my pie, and started watching Miracle on 34th St, by then it was 4, and I just put in a hungryman turkey dinner. It was very good. I was extremely surprised. Anyway the triptophan kicked in and I was totally zonked by 8:00 and napped for an hour. Mia called at 6 and I promised to come down. I will probably bring down ONE Piece of the pumpkin pie.

I am going to have to talk to the boss today. Her delightfull indifference until there is a problem and my problem solving ability put me at odds.

No Soap Radio Radio

I bought 2 gigs worth of dl credits at an OTR site today. Very reasonable. I only need the eps I want, shows I want. While I like getting the crds from otrcat, I am looking forward to this piece process. Much better than RUSC. It was slow slow slow.

Why do I get so bothered?

Why do I let the trials and tribulations of Ray's love life get me so bothered? I guess I have watched him be stupid with so many people, and he always seems to "swoop in" and get the guy then muck it up. I admit I am physically attracted to him. That is the, I believe the root of it all. He was the source of my dislike of Jason. Once Ray was out of the picture, I got along great with him. The chris situation is classic. Ray is attracted - Chris rebuffs, then acquiesces, then re-rebuffs. No Ray is back with Patrick, someone he disdained just days before.

Puppy Kisses

Got a new puppy. A dachshund, 7 mos. old. No shots, not neutered. Susie and Dotty have 5 and brought this little buddy home after he was abandoned at the pet hospital. He's cute. I am not sure TC likes him yet. They both are pretty territorial. I am reassuring TC he's still the big boogie, and buddy that he's the puppy.
